DHGate Case Study: Writing A Perfect Blog with ODL’s Services

In this case study, we will focus on how we helped DHGate create blogs pertaining to its entire global audience. This would give you an insight into the approach we adopted to create high-quality blogs for them from July 2021 to February 2022. So here it goes:

Creating Top-quality Blogs for DHGate?

We know that writing is a serious job. But unfortunately, the businesses that don’t take it seriously pay heavily when their brand does not get the traction it deserves. So, you must follow certain guidelines.

The first step is to understand the clients, their work area, and their brand inside out. And then surfing through platforms like SEMush or BuzzSumo, Google, and Facebook groups to identify topics, titles, keyword difficulty, and volume that are relevant to our client’s domain and particular niche.

But let’s skip that here and start researching the blog content. This is because DHGate already provided us with a blog plan we needed to adhere to.

The attached screenshots present a blog plan from August 2021 that DHGate shared with us:

Integrating Keywords in the Content

Giving keywords the attention they merit is crucial because they are what help people find your business online. First, search engine crawlers use keywords to identify your article’s subject matter. After that, they compare your blogs to others that target related keywords and rank you according to their popularity and relevance. All the content we write is loaded with the right amount of keywords, neither too much nor too little. Look at the screenshot below to see how we add these keywords seamlessly with the content:

Writing That Puts Reader Into Action

We write in a style that inspires the reader to behave independently and proactively. For instance, we create blogs that would be read, liked, and then forgotten but something that puts them into action. As in the below screenshot, we wrote a comprehensive guide about export licensing. This would help the buyers from different countries to take ‘action’ or get an export license and get the wholesale manufactured goods delivered to their place.

Sticking to a Core Idea

Stick to a single core idea throughout the piece. You will put the reader’s mind in hotch-potch if you try to present them with a mix of ideas. In fact, it is best to think about what question a reader may enter in a search engine and how you can respond to it in the best possible way.

In the above screenshot, too, you can see that we have remained devoted to one single idea in the entire article.

Writing An Out-and-Out Piece

Write a comprehensive article so that readers won’t need to look elsewhere for more information after reading it. The ideal length for a blog is between 1500 and 3000 words because we want to keep our writing concise. Reading something really long would make readers lose interest.

Using Images and Infographics

The use of images and graphics can enrich your blog considerably. These strengthen the story of your content because, as is true, a picture is worth a thousand words. However, it’s essential to remember that these images must contribute anything to your text. This means that they cannot be any random stock photos.

Chunking Up Content

When an article doesn’t have headers, subheadings, or a clear paragraph division, readers may feel confused and fall asleep before they have even started reading. It is, therefore, better to chunk your content. Let’s look at how we did it:

Backing the Content with Backlinks

We always include backlinks in our content because they have two advantages. First, adding more persons or entities allows you to email them to share the content while giving your piece a more natural appearance. In DHgate blogs, too, we have included backlinks where it was needed:

Conclusion

Do you wish to establish your business as the market leader? Are you seeking to convince your customers to pick your firm over rivals? You can only get results and stay on track with a solid content marketing plan. Don’t be afraid to step back and make changes if something isn’t working for your niche while you concentrate on creating helpful content and earning people’s trust in your brand. Remember that a plan is like a road map that may be altered. Allow it to lead you, but don’t let it stop you from moving forward when you’re ready to.
